Two snuffboxes in horn and black composition, the first adorned on the lid with a gilt medal representing the busts of Napoleon and Marie-Louise, signed: "GAYRARD. P." and "MORVILLER"; diameter 86 mm; the second adorned on the lid with a large seditious medal in gilded metal depicting two First-Empire soldiers weeping, a willow tree on the left, steles with battles won and a pyramid marked: "O MA PATRIE WATERLOO", below: "MILLE SUCCES CONTRE UN REVERS" and, on the back in black composition, the crowned figure of Charles X surrounded by laurels and inscribed "BOITE ROYALE DE FRANCE - 16 SEPTEMBRE 1824", the rim trimmed with fleurs-de-lis; diameter 83 mm (some minor crazing). First Empire and Charles X periods. Very good condition
