CRABIT Jean, corporal in the 30th ½ brigade de ligne, born in Villegonge (Gironde), particularly distinguished himself during the wars of 1796 to 1800, was promoted sergeant and received, on 4 pluviôse year IX, a rifle of honor for having signaled himself at the attack of the covered way of an entrenched camp of the enemy and having made put down the weapons to a post of 22 men commanded by a sergeant.
