Four medals: - Medal in gilded bronze, obverse with the profile of Napoleon III, engraved by A. Nire RD, on the back the imperial eagle and the inscription: "Honneur aux hommes de coeur qui travaillent avec courage a consolider le gouvernement de Sa Majeste imperiale, ils veulent le bonheur de la France"; diameter 50 mm. Period Second Empire. Very good condition. - Silver medal of the Société nationale d'encouragement au bien, with laurel wreath hoop, hallmarked with boar's head and goldsmith's mark, obverse depicting the Republic distributing a wreath, reverse attributed: "Prix offert par MR STEPHEN LIEGEARD president, decerne a Georges THOMAS - 20 juin 1902"; diameter 51 mm, gross weight 48 g; green ribbon edged in black. Third Republic period. Very good condition. - Silver fireman's medal with clasp, engraved by Alphée Dubois, obverse showing a fire engine with three sappers, marked below: "DEVOUEMENT COURAGE EMULATION", reverse an oak and laurel wreath, inscription in the middle: "OFFERTE PAR LA CONFIANCE (INCENDIE)"; diameter 51 mm, weight 63.4 g. Second half of the 19th century. Very good condition. - Silver medal with oak-leaf-shaped fixed hoop, hallmarked with a boar's head, obverse with a bust of the Republic, reverse with a laurel wreath, inscription around the rim: "UNION DES VOLONTAIRES - SOCIETE DE TIR DU VE ARRONDT"; diameter 40.5 mm, weight 24.1 g. Third Republic period. Very good condition.
