AIGUIERE in gilt silver (925). PARIS, PUIFORCAT, ap. 1879 (Hermes head). This Louis XIV-style à la Romaine model stands on a canted pedestal adorned with crosses and lozenges on a bitterness ground. The body is encircled by two protruding fillet moldings separating the decoration into three registers. The lower part is adorned with appliques, while the central part is engraved with scrolled cartouches and tassels adorned with fleurons on an amati background. The upper part is chased with medallions decorated with flowers and a wide lattice motif centered on fleurons under the beak. Hermes head export hallmark and 925 title hallmark. Marked PUIFORCAT / PARIS. Height 26 cm - Weight 1360 g.
