Franck SORDOT (1942-2020) "Off Belle Île Oil on cardboard. Signed lower left. 50 x 60 cm Franck Sordot, born in 1942, a student at the École d'Art Graphique et des Beaux Arts de Nantes, began his career as a painter by devoting himself to watercolors. Thanks to this experience as a watercolorist, he moved on to oil painting with perfect technique and mastery of color. In a post-impressionist style, Brittany, the banks of the Loire, views of Brière and Provence Provence are just some of the subjects he uses to commune with nature and the unique beauty of a landscape at a given moment, through luminous, ever-changing painting. The intensity of light allows the artist to modify the appearance of landscapes, the sea and the sky. Each vision of painting reflects the emotion felt through the use of clear values, dissociated strokes and variations in intensity. The artist participated regularly in the Salon des Indépendants, and exhibited in galleries in Paris and elsewhere in France, particularly in Nantes. Franck Sordot's work is aesthetic, strong, poetic, vibrant and luminous.
