* Fan, the double leaf in painted and ornamented skin and paper. The front depicts a lady of quality, under her canopy, receiving the tributes of a suite of characters. Grapes and wine flow freely. The reverse depicts a lively country scene on the banks of a river. Ivory mounting, with joined strands, reperced, carved in bas-relief and painted with flowers, shells and musical attributes, and partially applied with mother-of-pearl (wear and yellowing).
