Bichaq" dagger in the form of a yatagan Ottoman Empire, dated 1854-55 Walrus ivory frame. Blade dated 1271 H (1854-55) and heel decorated with palmettes. Silver leaf-covered scabbard with embossed and chased decoration of vegetal motifs and scrolls, the dolphin-head inlaid with two red pearls. Knife length: 30.3 cm; total length with scabbard: 33 cm The "bichaq" is a reduction of the "yatagan".
