Hard porcelain covered ovoid tea caddy decorated in polychrome with Chinese scenes from drawings in the Schulz codex, with bird and oriental flowers.
On the reverse, crossed swords mark in blue.
18th century, circa 1730, Hérold period.

The floral motifs found on Meissen wares often referred to as "Indian flowers" in this period are probably mostly influenced by the Japanese Kakiemon floral style.
