Oriental saber, brass crossed, with inverted quillons with chain, chased with foliage and fleurons, quillons terminated by an acorn, handle with two horn plates; curved blade with single hollow pan, etched on the half with foliage, Islamic inscriptions, cannons and a mosque, it is dated: Hegira "1316" (1898/1899); brass scabbard with two bracelets adorned with foliage fleurons, top of the chape chased with foliage and, in the middle, the same mosque as on the blade; it is presented with a passementerie strap; length 93 cm. Probably Turkey, late 19th century. Fairly good condition.
