1st model King's bodyguard saber, chased and gilded brass hilt, shell with French coat of arms, Klingenthal-patterned quillon, gray shagreen-covered fuse, silver filigree; slightly curved, serially-patterned blade, signed on the back: "Manuf Rle du Klingenthal novembre 1814", marked, on one face: "GARDES DU CORPS DU ROI" between two fleurs-de-lis and, on the other, the crowned arms of France and a radiant sun; leather scabbard with three gilded brass fittings, hallmarked: "B" spangled and "B" surmounted by a fleur-de-lis, iron sting; length 112 cm. First Restoration period. Very good condition.
