* Drum major's saber, regulation model 1822, gilded and chased brass crosspiece, cross-shaped, with two strong quillons and two auricles decorated with foliage and engraved, in the middle, with the large crowned arms of France, the fleurs-de-lis were crossed out after 1830, the rear is plain and hallmarked: "C P" crowned, strong cap chased with foliage, flowers and palmettes, originally finished with a lion's head which must have been lost and replaced by an oval plate, leather-covered spindle, filigree; curved blade with a hollow pan and lateral groove along the back, hallmarked and signed on the back: "Manufre Rale de Klingenthal mai 1823"; chased and gilded brass scabbard, with four hollows on the front, fitted with four chased and gilded brass plates decorated with flowers, foliage, palmettes and rais de coeur, the first adorned with the symbol of drum-majors: a drum surmounted by a shako, two canes and, below, two crossed horns, at this level, on the scabbard, are fixed two strong hooks for its attachment to the shoulder strap, at the same height, on the back, it is signed: "Manceaux à Paris", the back is plain, only the three bracelets adorned with laurels are chased, strong sting adorned en suite, on both sides; length 102 cm. (Wear to gilding; watermark incomplete; pierced end of stinger, not visible from the front). Restoration period, modified after 1830. Good condition.
