Rectangular black lacquer box decorated in hira and taka maki-e in gold lacquer with an Okina mask, turtle fan and hat, the sides decorated with "ju" (longevity) characters. Interior decorated in gold lacquer hira maki-e and mother-of-pearl inlay with butterflies flying among a rigid fan, inkstone and chrysanthemums (missing, restored, repainted). H: 15 - W: 30.5 - D: 21 cm
