Rare porcelain punch bowl of circular form decorated on the outer wall in famille rose enamels with two large scenes depicting a western merchant trading bales of tea; a tasting table on the right near a set of tea balls and on the left of farm workers walking on crates of tea leaves; surmounted by a motto in Latin in black on a gold background "Labor ipse voluptas parsit fortuna labori". The two reserves are framed with flowers treated in blue under cover heightened with gold; the interior with motives of five carps on bottom of algae. Second half of the 18th century (A crack). D : 25,5 cm
