Imperial Guard Marine Corps regulation saber, brass hilt with one round hollowed out limb, auricle, shield shaped, on front engraved with anchor, strong round pommel, quillon punched: "DUC" on top, leather-covered wooden spindle, with single brass filigree; blade with strong camber, round back and single hollow pan, finished with a carp tongue, engraved on each side: "GARDE IMPÉRIALE" in a cartouche, surrounded by two anchors; leather-covered wooden scabbard, with three brass fittings and two rings of bélières; length 89.5 cm. This sword is in its original condition, with some marks of use. First Empire period. Good condition.
