Senior naval officer's sword model 1837/1853, brass guard entirely chased and gilded, keyboard decorated with a roped anchor surmounted by the imperial crown on two flags, conical pommel decorated, on the front, with an eagle, spindle with mother-of-pearl plates, filigree; blade lenticular at the heel, then rhomboid, with two throats, decorated with etching of foliage, signed: "Coulaux frères et Compagnie - Klingenthal"; leather scabbard with two fully engraved brass fittings, shell-shaped cap button; length 102 cm; it is presented with its blue silk belt with four gilt bands and its gilt brass buckle with the same pattern as the keyboard. Second-Empire period. Very good condition.
