Rare flintlock marine signal pistol of the late 18th century - Lot 422
Rare flintlock marine signal pistol of the late 18th century type, flintlock lock year IX; brass fittings; the barrel extends, in front, with square section, ends in the shape of oval spatula beak (the bird) and is equipped inside, on all the length, of a channel in brass semicircle ending, at the end, by a round cup, the higher part is covered with a lid in drowning, with rectangular section, articulated at the level of the lock by an iron axis, and comes to cap the unit, swivelling towards the left, for the opening; length 55 cm. (Crack in the wood, near the end, and another one near the stock cap). Revolutionary period, First Empire. Fairly good condition.
