Navy officer's dagger, crossed in silver plated brass with two quillons, bent downwards, chiselled with fish heads, knot of body forming auricle, lozenge, decorated, on the front, with a silver plate enriched with a fleur-de-lys in relief, border decorated with foliage, this plate was brought back under the Restoration, oval pommel engraved with foliage and chiselled with grooves, ebony spindle, finely squared; diamond-shaped blade, gilded and blued on the half; wooden scabbard covered with chagrin, with two silver-plated brass fittings, bolt engraved with foliage and a trident, lyre-shaped sting ending with a ball; length 50,5 cm. Consulate period, early First Empire, modified under the Restoration. Good condition.
