Troop sword of the 2nd regiment of light horsemen of the imperial guard, known as "red lancers", model of the horse hunters of the imperial guard, guard with a brass branch, punched near the quillon: "VERSAILLES", "J" in an oval (probably Jacquesson, director of October 1809 to February 1812) and : "J C" in an oval (J. Cazamajou, reviser from 1803 to 1806, then from January 1809 to September 1811), the cap is marked: "2, R L, B", leather-covered wooden spindle, watermarked; curved blade punched: "M" surmounted by a star (C. Marion, inspector from December 1808 to June 1811), "L" (F. L. Lobstein, reviser of June 1804 to July 1821, punch around 1810/1811) and "B" with two small points (J. G. Bick, controller of 1st class, of February 1809 to August 1824); it is signed on the back: "Mfture Imple du Klingenthal mars 1811"; length 99,5 cm. (Without scabbard). First-Empire period. Good condition.
