The Bucolics. Published ]...[ in a new order by José Maria de HEREDIA. Paris, Printed for Charles Meunier, 1905. In-4°, light brown morocco, gilt fillet and large mosaic grecque interlaced with a gilt floral garland framing the boards, female nude in relief on silver plate inlaid in the centre of the first, spine decorated with a gilt and mosaic decoration, gilt edges, red-brown silk lining and endpapers, double endpapers, illustrated cover preserved, brown speckled half-calf folder with small overlaps opening a window on the plate in its first cover and case (Ch. Meunier 1907 & Denys Puech). Twelve lithographs outside the text by Henri FANTIN-LATOUR; head and footnotes and a facsimile of José Maria de Heredia in fine. Issued at 177 copies, this one (n°10), ONE OF TWELVE HEADWORKS ON IMPERIAL JAPON COATED WITH CHARLES MEUNIER'S MAROQUIN BINDING bearing a silver plate by DENYS PUECH representing the monument to André Chénier and including, bound in limina, AN ORIGINAL DRAWING SIGNED BY Henri FANTIN-LATOUR not used for the illustration. A copy including in addition, unjustified, a double suite of lithographs with remarks, one of which in sanguine, and a double suite of headpieces and culs-de-lampe.
