Earthenware plate with contoured border, with polychrome decoration of three lilies in a medallion surmounted by the royal crown, framed on the one hand by a pike ending with a Phrygian cap and on the other hand by a flag with a fife and drum bearing the inscription "W la Liberté". Late 18th century, Revolutionary period (shrinkage of enamel firing at the edge) D: 22.5 cm This variant with the Phrygian cap instead of the flag is very rare. On the reverse side, provenance label June 1967.
