Rare teacup and its saucer in soft porcelain with a celestial blue background, decorated in polychrome and gold with revolutionary and masonic attributes in medallions on a white background: lictor beam surmounted by an axe, Phrygian bonnets with or without plumb bob. Framed with laurel garlands tied with blue, white and red ribbons. On the reverse side marked Sèvres in all letters, initials RF for French Republic and initials RR for the year II (from 29/09/1793 to 21/09/1794); and the symbol of the painter Guillaume Buteux (active in Sèvres from 1782 to 1794) and the initials IN of the painter and gilder Jean Chavaux, young (active in Sèvres from 1764 to 1800) Late 18th century, revolutionary period, circa 1793-1794 (a chip on the edge of the cup) H (cup) : 4,5 - D (saucer) : 12,5 cm
