An early 19th century fine earthenware pot à oille, its lid and tray, attributed to Clairefontaine Neoclassical in shape, the body with lion's head handles, resting on three fluted feet, the upper part with a frieze of interlaces in relief, the lid topped by a large pine cone and a frieze of palmettes, the tray moulded with a garland of flowers and lions' heads interspersed, body restored, chips restored inside the lid, chips D. of the tray : 32 cm A similar model is preserved in the collections of the Besançon museum ; it is a gift from Mr Buyer who came from the collections of Mrs Gervaise Graves, descendant of the former owners of the Clairefontaine factory. Two other models in white and coloured are preserved respectively in the collections of the Musée des Arts Décoratifs in Paris (Inv. 10270 A) and the Musée de l'Ariana in Geneva (Inv. 014051).
