The lid, centered with a monogram JG, reveals an interior fitted out to receive a travel kit in moulded and cut crystal, vermeil, mother-of-pearl, steel and gold including soap boxes, cassolettes, corkscrew, file, scissors, cutlery... stamped by different goldsmiths. Signed "Aucoc Bté du Roi rue St Honoré 154 à Paris". First third of the 19th century. Accidents, some pieces missing or replaced; lifting of the reinforcements of the box, forced and without key.
