Jules renard (1864-1910).
L. A. S., Paris, Dec. 8, 1908, to Marcel Ballot, 2 pages in-8°. Answer to the praises of the chronicler of Le Figaro (serial of December 7, 1908): "I am happy with your "Literary Life". He accepts his criticism at the end [of the Natural Stories] and yet "remains incorrigible": "I would like, for example, to find a respectful natural story about the exquisite figure of Mad. Marcel Ballot at the edge of a theatre box. There is a formula to look for"... - An L is attached. A. S. from his wife "Marinette" to Mrs. Alfred Natanson, Chaumot by Corbigny, May 21 [1904], with postscript a. s. from Jules Renard to Natanson: "Thank you, prince. But why are you so nice to me, and so emm... to you? I know, me too, that we are very pleased with you at L'Humanité"...
