Chinese porcelain plate. Qianlong, 18th century, circa 1765. With a contoured rim, and decorated with the enamels of the Rose Family, in the center of arms joined and surmounted by a marquis's crown in a black and gold medallion of interlacing, the wing of bunches of flowers, gold fillets on the rim, small splinters at the heel, some wear. D: 23.5 cm Provenance: The arms are those of Jean-Claude-Henri-Adrien van Dam, Baron d'Audignies (1717-1781) and Marie-Philippine-Catherine-Josèphe de Maulde de la Deuze, Dame de Thiant et de Bervoir. Around 1756, Charles Henri van Dam de Maulde was appointed Baron d'Audignies, in the Order of the Nobility of Hainaut.
