Together concerning this Benedictine abbey, dissolved by Louis XVI (1779) and Pius VI (1780); the buildings were sold in 1784. Book of land receipts of the abbey (1621-1698). File of more than 15 documents concerning the abbey: acts before the judge of the court or before a notary (transaction, taking possession, farm leases), extract from the registers of the abbey registry, notification of ranks, declaration by Grand Prior Laurens de Foudras concerning a religious habit (1685-1750)... Exchanges (about 50 letters) between the abbot of Drée, the great sacristan of Savigny Abbey, the abbot of Lasserrée, in Roanne or Clermont-Ferrand, and Louis de Clugny, provost and count of Lyon, abbot of Savigny, concerning the project of secularization of Savigny Abbey: minutes of meetings between members of the clergy; questions from the minister concerning the opinion of the religious who would become canons, as well as the costs and fees that would result from them; sending of briefs from Messrs. de Foudras and de Laurencin; administrative formalities; obstacles (1760-1768)... An exchange between Gabriel de Clugny, Louis' brother, and the abbot of Drée, deploring the fact that the project is dragging on (1768). Nearly 20 letters from Marie-Anne-Françoise de Clugny de Thenissey, prioress of Leigneux and sister of Louis, to the abbot of Drée, about the project, complaining in particular about the Archbishop of Lyon (1766-1768)...
