Monday 20[December 1920], to a friend of the Gallic: "You must come tomorrow (21) to Parade - either in Mrs Muhlfeld's dressing room - or, if it bothers you with the attached word. ...] You will still do me the service of hosting a Radiguet article on the show for next Saturday - it will balance with Mauriac's article. I have asked for a Poetry for you".... Villefranche-sur-Mer[July-August 1924], to "dear friends. I think of you - I would be happy with you. I suffer - I suffer in the sun, which is atrocious. I hide as much as I can because Auric doesn't like to see suffering. But with you I would suffer openly. I'd cry and I'd get out of the way a little. I smoke less and less. I get to benign doses.
