Pewter PICHET shaped with a flared shoulder, short, straight, slightly marked cup, raised lid with a very slightly curved roof and acorned pommel, equipped with a thick handle with a low lower attachment that has an unreadable patronymic inscription engraved in post-Gothic characters. Marked in the shape of a shield from an unidentified master: E.C. in Gothic characters/small fleuron. It could be Etienne CAUVIN received master in Rouen before 1607. Inner countermark to the lily. This jug, made of longitudinal cast iron, is one of the "ancestors" of the High Normandy measurements of the following centuries.
