Cavalry officer's sword model 1750, gilded brass guard with two branches, double bridge and keel decorated with nets, round pommel, fully filigree rocket, iron sheath entrance; slightly curved blade of Montmorency type, engraved and gilded with a third of scrolls and trophies, back signed: "Mfture Rale D'alsace"; brown leather sheath with very rounded section, three iron trimmings cut in brace, brass ball dart; length 111 cm. (Repair to one branch and crack to the other). Very good condition, despite the small accidents PROVENANCE: Christian ARIÈS collection, this sword is reproduced in his book Armes blanches militaires françaises, 1st fascicule 1966.
